I’m sorry for any concern regarding the $1.00 Authorization that you see associated with your AWS account. Please be assured that we don’t actually proceed with the charge, the authorization is simply a security measure we use to protect our customers.
When you update or add a new credit card, we contact your issuing bank for a $1.00 authorization to confirm that your credit card is valid and hasn't been reported lost or stolen. Again, this posted $1.00 on your statement is for authorization purposes, and the actual amount will not be collected from your bank account.
